1970s Bill Gibb Cape
This adorable jacket/coat came to me with a matching dress. After long deliberation I decided to offer them separately as today's fashionistas like to mix things up, and this beautiful piece is so versatile, it could be worn with anything from blue jeans to a long evening gown. The very last photo shows it with the matching dress
The fabric is a silky jersey, of dove gray. It is a synthetic fabric, light, flowing... yards and yards of the stuff was used to create this amazing piece. The trim is really interesting, its composed of tiny cut crystals on a white ribbon base. I took the photos using the flash to show how reflective it can be, the last close up of the shoulders shows it without the flash for contrast. The jacket has slash pockets and a little string tie at the neck. The "sleeves" are amazingly full, the wide cuff at the wrist has three crystal buttons.
