1970s Bill Gibb Bee Dress
This dress is one of Bill Gibb's most famous and sought after designs and it is a privilege to offer it on my site.
The fabric is a very light wool crepe in off white. The candy cane silk cord trim is whimsical, yet refined. Gibb's trademark enameled bee buttons are the crowning glory.
The cut of the gown is incredible. It is the definitive "rich hippie" style that Gibb is famous for. The bodice crosses over the chest and secures with snaps and hooks. From the empire waist down, it is open and free, but because there is so much fabric, you don't have to worry about any embarrassing mishaps.
condition: good, there is some faint yellowing in a few places, but it is not noticed under normal light.
