Generally, you don't see float long silk gowns by Cardin from this era. Its usually the very sleek, very mod wool pieces but after fondling this amazing dress, I wonder why he didn't do more like this.
The dress was made from a luscious silk organza printed in a bold black & white lace like design with the fantastic sunbursts mandalas everywhere. The cut is magnificent. The bodice has a sexy off the shoulder design with the flirty cape like overlay and a delicate ruffle trim. It has a high waist and a long, slim skirt that sticks close to the body at the hips, then flows into a full sweep at the hem.
