1980s Yves Saint Laurent Necklace
This necklace was 148 in a series of only 500. It was produced in the early 1980s and was quite expensive back then. It features a huge 2" diameter multi colored gem. It has the look of Schiaparelli's "watermellon tourmaline" but its much deeper and quite spectacular. The colors change all the time. Shades of green, purple, pink, gold and blue dance within the gem that is most likely made of crystal. The heavy gold tone chain and setting have a brushed mat look that allows the gem to be the center of attention. The closure is a simple hook, so you can adjust the necklace to the perfect length.
