1980s Arnold Scassi Pleated Gown
This is very much in the style of a classic Madam Gres, made by Arnold Scassi in the mid to late 1980s. I believe the fabric is silk jersey. Its a lovely shade of peach, flattering to most shades of skin. The bodice is all hand pleated with countless little stitches keeping each fold in place. I love how the lines in the waist swoop across, and how that swag falls out of the pleats at the hip. I also adore how the front of the skirt has gentle pleats, and how the back is smooth. The dress has a hidden side zipper, and is lined in silk. It is a marvel! A complete show stopper.
