1970s Halston Watermelon Pink Goddess Gown
I do love Halston gowns, especially those of pure silk chiffon, spiral cut in the goddess style.
This lovely gown dates to the 1970s. Its Halston's classic spiral cut, in which the gown is created from a single piece of fabric spiraled around the body. This creation is based in that, but rather than a single piece of fabric, he ran his spiral around a double layer of silk chiffon, creating a triple thickness of fabric for an ultra luxurious look and feel. This gown has no closures beyond the single tie at the left shoulder. The color is a bright, watermelon pink that would put any flower to shame.
