1960s Pucci Helanca Stretch Pants
These adorable stretch pants are made of 100% Helanca. What is Helanca you ask? Don't feel bad, I have never heard of it either but a quick search introduced me to the world of Helanca. Its a bit more than I wish to ramble about here, but in a nutshell it was introduced in the late 1930s by a Swiss company made from acetate and wool and is hailed as the first stretch fabric. After WW2 the fabric was improved by a company in Lyon France, now made of nylon, it was far more elastic and had the ability to be dyed in very bright, vibrant colors.
