1990 Moschino VIP Cocktail Dress

The full length version of this dress sold at Christies Auction a few years back for $2000. I actually prefer the cocktail length version as it is much more fun and wearable.

The fabric is a silky rayon/acetate crepe. Its a easy wearing style, with a zipper back, a body skimming bodice and skirt, and a slight antebellum waistline. I guess one could call it a "wiggle" style dress. Best of all is the gold sequin adornments. Franco took the V-neck and turned it into a social statement. You can later decide if you are a very important person or a voracious irreverent pilgrim.
