1970s Hanae Mori Beaded Bird Gown

This is a rare beauty. Ms. Mori at her very best!
The dress is silk chiffon, lined in silky rayon, but sheer at the arms. The print is lovely with the flowers and the birds, in shades of peach, green, blue and periwinkle. Best of all, the bodice has been adorned with shimmer glass beads, hand sewn to the silk to accent the print. There are even little, round, faceted crystal beads in the center of each flower. The workmanship is excellent and the effect is astounding.
The dress crosses over in the front, and secures with tiny hooks, and silk covered snaps. There are also little snaps at the wrists. The skirt hem and sleeves are finished with hand rolled edges... very couture
