1970s Halston Dress

$ 0.00
You may have noticed that I am a Halston fanatic. Each piece I find is a true treasure, made with amazing precision and incredible style. This stunning chiffon dress is no exception.
From the 1973 Runway collection, as modeled on Angelica Houston, Halston took the plain-jane shirt dress and brought it to a whole new level, constructing it out of a double layer of pure silk chiffon. The print is in soft cream, peach, blue-gray and a touch of mauve. The long brush strokes are a Halston favorite. The dress buttons up the front with beautiful little mother of pearl buttons (they are not genuine, but they sure have the glow and shimmer of mother of pearl). There are belt loops, but it did not come to me with a belt. I have shown it with a blue ribbon that I would be happy to include with the sale. It could be worn open like a long jacket as well. The inside edges are beautifully hand finished so it looks just as good inside as it does outwardly.
