1970s Halston Chiffon Gown

$ 0.00
Its true... I do fall in love with every Halston gown I find, but the chiffon ones really rock my world. This rare beauty is one of the best Halstons I have ever seen.
The body of the dress is made three layers fine silk chiffon , one light peach, one a bit darker peach and the bottom layer is persimmon.
The construction of the gown is a halter tank dress. The only closures are several hooks on the left shoulder. Instead of the halter neck being just a collar, it pours down into a "cape" that ties around to the front of the dress creating a split skirt. When it is all tied up there are six layers of chiffon in the skirt, three slim fitting and three that just flow. There is also a matching chiffon scarf that can be used as a wrap. To make it even more wonderful, you can untie the waist and wear the back piece on the shoulders, as shown in the last picture.
This is a truly magnificent Halston creation. All the edges are hand rolled. This is a couture masterpiece.
