1970s Halston IV Kaftan

I have had several versions of this Kaftan, but this one is really very special. Most are one color, but this one is not only vivid fuchsia, but its trimmed in jet black. It is also unique in that the neckline is open almost to the navel, with 2 hooks/eye closures so you can hook it up when entertaining friends, or let it open low for more private moments. This is such a rare feature that I questioned that it was original but after studying the fabric I so no evidence that there was ever a seam up higher than where it is now so I do believe the deep V. and hooks is original to this piece. The caftan has wonderful drape and movement. Its made of soft, silky Qiana nylon. The gown was made by Dorian for Halston.
