1960s Christian Dior Paisley Suit
A completely adorable outfit, from the heart of the swingin' sixties fashion movement, designed by the incredible Marc Bohan for Christian Dior. The woman who originally purchased it was the wife of a movie producer who wore it in the movie Casino Royale which was made in 1966-67 (she was an extra in the background).
The jacket and skirt are made of wonderful heavy cotton. The skirt is a double skirt... well, actually a fake double skirt as the under skirt is plain white cotton in the back, so only the part that peeks out from under the outer skirt is the paisley print. The skirt also has two side hip pockets. The jacket is intended to be worn open, as the button holes are just for show and are backed with fabric so even if you wanted to use the huge buttons, you cannot.
