1980s Yves Saint Laurent Jacket

Oh, what a delightful little jacket! Yves did versions of the chrysanthemum prints throughout his years, and they have always been very special to me. This one is super special as the fabric is a brilliant silver lame cloque printed in brilliant fuchsia, chocking pink and spring green. The jacket is sweet, short and boxy with little side pockets, no closures and is lined in hot pink silk. It has a very interesting back treatment as the lining is cut smaller than the lame so it creates a bit of a puff in the back. This is the kind of jacket that would be fabulous with skinny jeans and boots as well as with a skirt or dress.
