1940s Eta Hentz Sequin Jacket

$ 600.00

This is a lovely and rare piece by Mrs Eta Hentz, a Hungarian born, New York City designer who was adored for her fresh, flattering, easy to wear designs. Hentz had a cult following, but never mass produced, so her pieces are extremely rare, and are usually seen only in museum collections. This is only the 2nd piece I have ever had my hands on by her. The fabric is a light gaberdine (wool or perhaps a wool/rayon blend) in lavender accented in sprays of sequin flowers. The jacket is unlined, with fine pleats at the shoulders and at the waist.

condition: very good with very slight fading to the back fabric

no size, fits a medium
