1960s Balmain Houndstooth Tweed Suit

$ 450.00

The great Pierre Balmain first studied architecture before he happened upon his true calling in fashion. He would use his knowledge of building construction to aid him in his couture designs, always striving to create fashion that would take on a life of its own.

This suit is a perfect example of Balmain's "day look". Made of a thick, luxurious boucle wool in an over sized hounds tooth pattern in taupe and olive. The slim cut reminds me of another famous French designer of the time... Ms Coco Chanel. The skirt is a classic slim cut which will be very flattering to any figure.

The double breasted jacket closes with olive plastic buttons and is fully lined in olive silk.

condition: Very good, with not a single flaw to mention.
