1970s Yves Saint Laurent Gold Lame Pleated Skirt

I am a total sucker for good YSL... and this my friends is GOOD!! The fabric is a black and gold silk lame. It is light as air and completely etherial. The fabric has a pattern that reminds me of a reptile skin. The pattern is very subtle, giving the skirt greater depth and interest. The pleating is astounding. It is even more astounding that the pleats are still very crip and tight. The way the skirt moves is other-wordly. Remeber Marilyn's Travalia dress, the way the subway wind made it float around her? Yep... you can get that with this skirt, its just that floaty.
