This is an amazingly gorgeous dress designed by the great Jean Patou. It is an adaptation, not Patou couture, but everything about it rings of fine Parisian haute couture. The fabric is an incredible silk jacquard emblazoned with tiny herondale (swallows) known in France to be the harbingers of spring and are considered good luck. The cut of the dress is perfection, with a loose 20s fit, a graceful empire waist with a bit of smocking at the center, and long pouched sleeves. There are no closures save for a hook at the neck. The dress is unlined.
The dress is in very good condition with no problems to mention.
