Julio Espada never became a household name, but for New York fashion lovers in the late 1970s and early 1980s, he was the pinnacle of chic. This gorgeous dress is a shining example of his chic, elegant style that brought him to the house of Pucci in the early 2000s. The fabric used for this creation is exquisite! It is either silk or a silk rayon devore or "burn out" velvet of jet black. The pile of the velvet is long and luxurious, the sheer parts are like a whisper of crepe chiffon. The body of the dress is a long column that could be belted, or worn free in a classical style. The neckline is elastic so you can wear it down on the shoulders if you like. The sleeves are wide and end just over the elbow. The dress is lined in sheer layer of black silk chiffon which doesn't offer much in terms of modesty so you can go sheer, or wear an undergarment.
