1963 Balenciaga Couture Canvas Coat

This is a very rare and unique Balenciaga design. I have never seen one like it before. The fabric is a sturdy canvas, the color is a brown/khaki bringing to mind an Officer's uniform from days gone by. The epaulets and the exaggerated martingale are so much fun, as is the beautiful cut, and couture seaming. Be sure to note the divine pleats at the shoulders.
