1970s Yves Saint Laurent Suit

This suit is a classic dating to the late 1970s or early 1980s. The fabric is a medium weight crepe, probably rayon. It has the feel of an Ossie Clark moss crepe. The print is fun, frivolous and very Yves.
The little jacket closes down the front with cut, jet black glass buttons. It has built i shoulder pads, and ribbon trim at the neck, down the front, around the hem and at the wrists. The jacket is lined at the bodice with silky black fabric.
The skirt is unlined. It has a 2" waistband with a gently, barely pleated skirt. It closes at the side with large hooks, and a metal zipper. There are even side pockets.
