1970 Valentino Snail Ensemble

This is a truly remarkable creation by Valentino. The skirt is made of a lustrous dupion type silk, the top is sheer silk chiffon. The print is just a kick! Kind of surreal for the generally austere Valentino.

The blouse has elastic at the waist and cuffs. There is a zipper down the back. The bodice is lined with plain pink chiffon, the sleeves are unlined. There is a lovely scarf attached at the throat and shoulders, set free down the back.

The skirt is lined in pink silk. It has side pockets and a side zipper. The skirt flares out to a very full sweep.
