Morton, Robert David

Robert David Morton was born in New York City, lived there all his life. He also had a home in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, he called it his "farm", Jupiter 8. He also used that name for one of his companies along with Quadraluna. He was the first designer to use Lycra for evening wear. He not only sold to many of the high fashion stores but also to famous individual's who would come to his shop which was located at 252 W. 37th St. in NYC. He designed his own fabric patterns. He was very much hands, did almost everything himself.
