1960s Norman Norell Dress

$ 0.00
Ever wonder what a dress like this retailed for back in the day? According to the original retail tag that is still attached to this dress, it was $565.00!!! Now this was back in the early 1960s!! Considering the average cost of a new car in 1960 was $2,600 its no wonder Norell was known as the couturier for the American Bourgeois.
This dress is a real delight. Its made of a heavy wool jersey, fully lined in blue silk. It is a very unique look, with the oversized peter pan collar, the huge patch pocket on the right, and bright white buttons that cross the body on the diagonal. It is a truly remarkable dress. Of course, it was expertly made with skill on par to Paris couture.
