1970s Hanae Mori Deco Print Dress

This is one of those fabulous Hanae Mori Ban Lon creations that are so sought after by collectors today. We love her couture chiffons, but these ready to wear early creations are so fun and easy to wear. I just can't get enough of them in my wardrobe.
The fabric is slinky and soft, with a lovely sheen. The royal purple color is striking, but the darling smoking flapper head really steals the show. Her ruby red lips are tiny, but they really stand out. The whole look is very Biba.
The dress is a simple, cross wrap that closes on one side with hooks and eyes. It is open from the waist down, but there is enough fabric to keep everything you need to be covered, covered.
