1970s Halston Scarf Dress

$ 0.00
Halston was an alchemist in fabric. He took garment construction to the highest level possible, creating easy to wear, graceful items in ways that never were done before.
This dress seems tame at first glance, but when you study its construction, you will find it is a wonder made of only of one continuous piece of silk. The seams spiral around the arms to create the long sleeve that tapers perfectly to a delicate snapped wrist. The small back closure is also on a spiral seam at the left shoulder. The neckline, hem and sleeves are all hand finished. There are deep side pockets on the hips
The silk is wonderful in shades of chocolate and rust. The dress comes with a matching sash that can be worn as a belt, around the head, or at the neck. It is a true delight.
