1960s Piere Cardin Space Age Dress

$ 0.00
Pierre Cardin cut his teeth in fashion under the direction of the houses of Paquin and Schiaparelli. He then found his way to the house of Dior where he was instrumental in the development of the "new look". He opened his own house in the early 50s and honed his skills developing designs that were as much sculpture as they were fashion.
BR>This space age beauty is an example of a quintessential Cardin creation. It is made from a heavy wool that holds its shape away from the body, thus emphasizing the dress more than the woman's figure.

The color is a rich chocolate brown. The deep U shape cut out neck dips 13 1/2" down from the shoulders, and mirrors the same cut out shape at the hem. The one "dot" at the breast creates interest, while covering just enough breast to keep the dress from being obscene (for the time).The dress is fully lined in silk
