1990s Amy Michelson for Holly Harp Devore Velvet Dress
$ 0.00
In 1989 Holly Harp asked a designer turned actress, Amy Michelson to be her assistant designer. When Ms Harp passed away Michelson took over the fashion house completely. She kept with the Holly Harp tradition of designing Rock & Roll style clothing for Rock & Roll style customers. This darling little dress is a prime example of the Rock Star Chic the Harp label is famous for. The dress is made from the most wonderful devore (burn out) velvet dyed in multi-color jewel tones all sort of mottled together like a Venetian glass vase. The geometric burn out pattern and the loose tunic fit bring to mind dresses of the 1920s - 30s. The body of the dress is lined, the sleeves were unlined and sheer.
