1970s Jean Louis Silk Dress

Jean Louis gained fame designing for Columbia pictures in the late 40s and early 50s. In 1961 he quit the movies and began his own design house that catered to the rich and famous for over 20 years. This is one of his creations from the late 60s, or early 70s. It is made from lovely silk of apple green with beautiful gold. I love the tiny trim of french blue adorned with printed pearls at the wrist. The dress has 5 silk covered buttons down the front, then there is a hidden snap, and it is open for the last 10" to the hem. The dress is fully lined in kelly green silk.
