1950s Beaded Silk Haute Couture Dress

This dress is a masterpiece of haute couture, but there is not a label to be found so we will never know who the master was who made it. The fabric is a delicious silk faille of dark gray, the bodice is covered in glass beads that were all hand applied. The style is typical to the "new look" with a nipped waist and lightly padded hips that protrude in an angular fashion. It is a beautifully made dress, with hand sewn finishes to the French seams.
