1950s I. Magnin Flocked Satin Floral Dress
This is a very lovely dress, sold through the very ritzy California department store I. Magnin. At the time this dress was produced, Magnin's was where all well heeled women went to find the very best fashion available, were designs by Dior, Lanvin, Carnegie and the like were available. This dress is only labeled with the I. Magnin white satin label, but it very well could be an import, or an authorized copy of a Parisian couture design. The fabric is a rich, luxurious silk satin floral with a soft velvet flocking for accent on the leaves. The dress is totally backed in silk organza, and has a metal zipper. The cut is simple and clean, and is very flattering.
