1920s Unworn Silk Night Top - Bed Jacket

This is such a treasure. It is rare to find a bed jacket so old, in such pristine condition. In fact, the store tag is still pinned to the sleeve. It reads Haute Nouveaute Paris. Hand written in lovely script it says "Ala Ada - se fait jusqu au 60 - longueur 55 - yea" The last bit has to do with the sizing I think, the first is either the design name or the name of the creator, Ada. It is a lovely little piece of peach silk charmeuse with light crepe accents. It was beautifully made, as you would expect from Parisian lingerie. The scalloped detail is entirely hand sewn along the back, the shoulders and back are beautifully pin tucked pleated. The top has a cross over bodice that closes with tiny silk covered buttons at the neck, finished with a long sash to be tied on the side.
