1910s Edwardian Nightgown

$ 155.00

This is a stunning example of turn of the century lingerie. It strikes me as Parisian in origin, based on the fabric, design and workmanship. The body of the gown is a light silk jacquard, the bust and sleeves are a sheer silk crepe. The leaves on the bust were cut from the jacquard and hand applique to the crepe with hand embroidered stems. There are no closures save for tiny mother of pearl buttons at the wrists. The hem is trimmed in cream colored lace that seems to have been hand crochet to the silk.

This would be gorgeous on a wedding night, or even for the wedding!

condition: Very good with a three or four scattered pin holes in the crepe.
