.. Roberto Cavalli: Late 1960s Printed Leather and Denim Jacket

.. My heart always jumps a beat when I get my hands on good, vintage Cavalli. There is truly nothing else like it . Even the many imitators at the time couldn't achieve his unique style. Roberto started his career in textile printing, and he invented a way to print on leather that could not be duplicated. He also had a knack for putting together patterns that the average designer at the time would never have attempted. His look was, and still truly original.

.. This little gem is a classic Cavalli patchwork. There are two different prints on the leathers, and four different denims, three are printed. one is plain. Its wonderfully styled with a slim waist and a flair to the hips. I love the collar and trim on the cuffs. The jacket closes with snaps, adorned with hand enameled flowers. A few of the flowers' enamel has chipped revealing the brass backing, but as shown in the close ups, it really just adds to the beauty of them. The jacket is unlined and has no pockets.

condition: very good, no flaws beyond the slight chipping of the snaps
